We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantitative Trading Analyst to join our growing team.


The successful candidate will work within the trading team, reporting to the Head of Trading, and will play a lead role in the development and execution of our trading strategies in current and future markets. This is an exciting opportunity to develop trading and energy market understanding in a key moment in the worldwide energy transition. 

This role is best suited to proactive and naturally inquisitive individuals with strong quantitative skills, experience coding and an interest in transforming analysis into risk taking opportunities in the fast-paced environment of power market trading. You will gain direct exposure to the power market and its fundamentals, trading, strategy development and monitoring and automation. The successful candidate can expect significant career progression and a high level of responsibility and autonomy in a start-up work environment. 



  • Develop and maintain existing trading strategies

  • Contribute and propose new trading strategies in current and future markets

  • Be integral to the monitoring, benchmarking and reporting of these strategies

  • Understand and contribute to the codebase and associated data infrastructure

  • Further improve our automated trade execution approach

  • Display a willingness to learn about the energy markets and its price drivers to contribute to the company’s growth


  • 3-5 years’ working as a Quantitative Analyst, Power Market Analyst or similar

  • A minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science or similar

  • Highly proficient in Python

  • Experience in object orientated programming or machine learning is an advantage

  • Comfortable working with large datasets

  • Knowledge of power market or trading environments an advantage
